The independent European safety association Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme), has rewarded Mercedes-Benz as part of the new Euro NCAP Advanced programme by awarding the company prizes for its anticipatory occupant protection system PRE-SAFE® as well as its PRE-SAFE® Brake driver assistance system. Dr. Michiel van Ratingen, Secretary General of Euro NCAP, presented the awards to Prof. Dr. Ing. Around 100,000 readers of AUTO BILD magazine have voted the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Germany’s most attractive car. The super-sports car received the most votes of any newly launched model. Second place in the overall rating was taken by the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet. The Mercedes-Benz F 800 Style emerged as the winner in the “Studies & Concept Cars” category. (more…)
Agency Honors car2go for Innovative Efforts to Improve Air Quality
AUSTIN, Texas – car2go today was honored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with its prestigious 2010 EPA Clean Air Excellence Award in the category of Transportation Efficiency Innovations.
