This time we had some time with the 2010 Mercedes S212, the E-Class wagon. In the middle of the winter, obviously.
To call this a test would be a travesty on test, i had the car for an hour or so.
My very first time in a W212 E-Class was with the test drive of the E220CDI.

There’s a curious and extremely ugly styling detail on the rear wings of the new Mercedes E-class. It’s a crease that sets off from the back end with much purpose and drive, but when it reaches the door, it sort of gives up and, like the Okavango river, meanders about before giving up on the idea of existing in the first place.
One day last summer when i was on on a job i stumled on this at a customer of mine he had bought the 450 us imported car from a swedish dealer that has good connections with the us.
August 2009 – This time took the C63 out for a spin and this is a small and sporty car. The acceleration is enormous, think very fast and this is still even faster. Still it is comfortable and quiet. Do you need the power it is there, no matter what rpm you are on just push the pedal.
Im soo ashame, all my Mercedes road tests was so long ago i almost don´t have them fresh in memory. So i write what i remember most from the experience of the car. I hope that is ok with you guys and grrls out there.
Today I was able to take the new W164 ML350 for a spin. Im already a big fan of the new M. Better looking, better built, better materials and better driving dynamics on and offroad make it a more appealing package than the original W163 M-Class. It doesnt look like a big car from the outside, but on the inside, there seems to be ample space. (more…)

I finally did it: drove the new facelifted W211 E-Class!
The model I tried was the new E280 CDI in Avantgarde trim level. This was going to be an interesting testdrive, because I can compare the new facelifted E-Class directly to our very own 2002 E320, one of the first delivered in all of Germany.
Driving this car was like a “no drama at all” feeling.
Today i had the R500 4-Matic out for a spin. If i wanted a minivan that could easy hold 6 grownups i would go for this one. My style is more of a sedan or perhaps a coupe but a minivan, not for me!
I have almost forgotten that i got to drive the CLS55 AMG some time ago (how COULD i forget that). So here are some images and a little teststory of this super nice car with a a sound that is breathtaking..
Oh yeah, I finally got to experience the joy of driving an SLK350! :sun:] This SLK had a nice light metallic blue color to it. Not my favorite color, but it looked ok on the car and I was happy the thing wasn’t black as it was a hot day. Great car, great car!
Now, let’s make this clear from the start. SLK350 = 3.5-l 4-valve per cylinder V6 with 272-hp and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb/ft). The SL350 I drove yesterday had a different engine (3.7-l V6, 245-hp). ] (more…)
