- With 84 wins from 158 races (win rate of 53%), the AMG Mercedes C-Class is the most successful car in DTM history
- The DTM finale at Hockenheim is the last race under the current technical regulations and is also the last for the AMG Mercedes C Class
- With 164 wins, ten drivers’ championships, nine constructors’ championships and thirteen team titles, Mercedes-Benz is the most successful marque in the DTM
- In addition to DTM record champion Bernd Schneider (six DTM/ITC titles), three other drivers have won titles with Mercedes-Benz: Klaus Ludwig (twice), Gary Paffett and Paul di Resta (once each)

David Coulthard and Ralf Schumacher to race for Mercedes-Benz in the 2011 DTM
- David Coulthard (40) and Ralf Schumacher (35) will both race the AMG Mercedes C-Class during the 2011 season
- This will be Schumacher’s fourth DTM season and his third with the HWA team. As in 2010, Coulthard will be with Team Mücke Motorsport
- Ralf Schumacher will drive the Salzgitter AMG Mercedes C‑Class
- David Coulthard lines up in the Deutsche Post AMG Mercedes C‑Class: “My year of apprenticeship is over – now I’m looking to make some real progress.”

Bruno Spengler (Mercedes-Benz Bank AMG C-Class), current leader in the DTM after eight races in the 2010 season:
“German Final race at Hockenheim, full house, excitement and all-out attack – all this goes together. In the last race Paul recovered some points but in Hockenheim I want to stand right at the top of the podium and lay the foundation stone for this with an excellent qualification result.
