Stuttgart. As a stylish, sporty and spacious vehicle, the new C-Class Estate is ideal for those with active, modern lifestyles, accompanying its occupants on shopping sprees, on holiday or as they head off to their sports activities, and is suitable for families in every respect.
The Estate can be configured to make an even more individual and versatile vehicle with Genuine Accessories from Mercedes-Benz. These high-quality and practical products will be available from Mercedes-Benz partners from the time of the market launch of the C-Class Estate in September.
The new C-Class Estate’s dynamic looks can be underlined with the front apron spoiler lip and the roof spoiler[1]. These add-on parts are made from dimensionally stable, precisely fitted polyurethane and do not need to be entered in the vehicle documents.
The primed components can be painted in the desired colour and fitted by a Mercedes-Benz partner.
Individual and sporty accents can also be added with the new, two-piece exterior mirror housings in black. The illuminated Mercedes star[2],available for vehicles with a centrally positioned star emblem, provides an unusual look at night time (with the engine switched off).
Fibre-optic cables and LED lights illuminate the central star on the radiator grille when the car is locked and unlocked by remote control, and when the doors or the load compartment are opened.
The sports pedals are available in two versions, one for models with manual transmission and one for automatic models. Both feature polished stainless steel pedals with slip-resistant studded inserts. The illuminated door sill panel is a distinctive and eye-catching feature whether in daylight or at night. The lettering, illuminated in brilliant white, is set in an elegant polished stainless steel panel.
Child seats: age and height-appropriate retention systems
Children are the most vulnerable road users – and not only when travelling by scooter, bicycle or on foot. Because children who are not adequately secured as car passengers are in great danger if an accident occurs.
Their risk of being seriously or fatally injured is seven times higher than for children who are protected by suitable restraint systems.
Mercedes-Benz therefore offers a selection of age-appropriate child seats, designed to provide optimum protection for youngsters. The Accessories range for the new C-Class includes the BABY-SAFE plus II infant carrier and two removable child seats, DUO plus and KIDFIX, designed for children of different heights.
The risk of incorrect use is reduced by specifying automatic front passenger airbag deactivation for the C-Class (optional extra). This version works with a weight mat integrated into the front passenger seat rather than the previous transponder. So when the child seat is removed, the front passenger airbag is automatically reactivated.
Entertainment plus: advanced multimedia solutions
With an Audio 20 CD on board, it is possible to retrofit the user-friendly Garmin® MAP PILOT navigation system. Its merits include accurate map data and excellent route guidance.
The navigation software and the map data are stored on an SD card, which is simply inserted in the Audio 20 CD’s dedicated SD card slot in the centre console. Garmin® MAP PILOT uses the standard colour TFT display above the centre console, offering a high-resolution map display with a Garmin® look and feel.
The Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth® (SAP) telephone module also incorporates a host of multimedia functions. Featuring an integrated UMTS module connected directly to the vehicle’s exterior aerial, the telephone module provides COMAND Online with a fast, stable and secure internet connection.
The SAP module, Version 4, can either be connected to COMAND Online via Bluetooth® or via a USB cable. Connecting via USB can result in up to seven times faster transmission speeds.
The Estate’s rear bench seat can be turned into a communication centre or a cinema with the portable iPad® Docking Station for the rear compartment. The mount is simply attached to the head restraint posts and can therefore be removed again at any time. It is suitable for all 9.7-inch iPad® models, up to iPad 4®.
Practical transport solutions: carriers for bikes, etc.
Genuine Accessories make the C-Class Estate even more invaluable when it comes to leisure activities: the rear-mounted bicycle rack for the trailer coupling, for example, holds up from two to three cycles. Its practical design means that the load compartment can still be opened when the rack is in place.
The rack also conveniently folds for space-saving stowage. For those who prefer to transport their equipment on the roof of the car, the Easy-Fix basic carrier bars for roof rails can be combined with the ski and snowboard rack and the New Alustyle bicycle rack.
Mercedes-Benz has updated its range of fitness and trekking bikes for the 2014 cycling season. The exclusive Mercedes-Benz frame of the new fitness bike is available in three sizes (M 49/L 52/XL 55 cm) for male and female riders of different statures.
The technical equipment includes an aluminium frame, a Suntour suspension fork with 63 mm spring travel, hydraulic disc brakes by Shimano and a 27-speed Shimano DEORE shifter as much as 28-inch Continental CrossRide wheels with Puncture ProTection.
The new trekking bike is based on the frame and technical features of the Fitness Bike, and is available with a matt black frame. The features which set it apart from the Fitness Bike include a sprung Satori saddle post, an expanded comfort saddle by Phorm, special 28-inch Continental SpeedRide trekking tyres with Puncture ProTection and a Racktime rear carrier with a load capacity of up to 25 kg.
A child seat can be fitted using a separate adapter. The new Trekking Bike is available in three sizes (M 49/L 52/XL 55 cm).
The range is completed with the 16-inch kid’s and balance bikes. The kid’s bikes are available in three stylish colours (blue metallic, pink metallic and white).
The saddle height is adjustable from approx. 44 to 60 cm. This makes it suitable for kids aged approx. 3 to 6 years old. The balance bikes are available in the version „Motorsport” and „Girl” and have a saddle height from approx. 32 to 36 cm.

Functional additions for the rear compartment: Style & Travel Equipment
The products which make up the Style & Travel Equipment range make practical use of the C-Class Estate’s rear compartment. A basic support, clamped between the posts of the front head restraints acts as a holder for further accessories.
The support can be combined, for example, with a coat hanger. This can be removed separately – handy for transferring an item of clothing and its hanger to a hotel room.
The folding table not only folds, but its height and angle can be adjusted too. It also features an integral drinks holder. Bag hooks can be used to hang up personal accessories such as handbags and other items weighing up to 1.5 kg.
Expressive details: wheels and accessories
The range of Genuine Accessories includes a host of light-alloy wheels. These are available in 16-inch, 17-inch, 18-inch and 19-inch sizes, making them suitable for all engine variants.
Highlights include a 48.3 cm (19-inch) 6-spoke wheel with a high-sheen finish in Himalaya grey, size 7.5 J x 19 (front axle) or 8.5 x 19 (rear axle) and a high-sheen 5-spoke wheel in tremolite metallic, size: 7 J x 17.
Hub caps enhance the vehicle’s looks while protecting the hub from dirt. Various different versions are available for the new C-Class Estate to coordinate with the different wheel colours. They include hub caps with a raised or recessed star and with a star and laurel wreath and in blue, black and silver.
